The 370Z is a sports car manufactured and sold by Nissan Motors that made its debut in 2008 as the sixth rendition of the Nissan Z-car. The Nissan 370z is available in multiple versions with regional availability. First there are the Standard and Touring models, which are available worldwide. Second is the Nissan 370Z NISMO, which was introduced in 2009. For the British market there is the limited edition Nissan 370Z Yellow inspired by the European GT4 racecar. The Roadster version was introduced in 2009 as a 2010 model along with the 40th Anniversary Edition based on the 370Z Coupe Touring, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Datsun 240Z arriving in North America.

The powerful 3.7-liter V6 produces 332 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque (In NISMO form, Nissan manages to squeeze out another 8 hp and 6 lb-ft of torque). The engine is mated to either a six-speed manual transmission, available with or without the SynchroRev Match System, or a seven speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The 370Z is one of the fastest coupes available in this prince range, launching to 60 mph in just 4.9 seconds (4.6 seconds for the NISMO). The average fuel economy is around 18 / 26 mpg city / highway for a combined consumption of 22 mpg. When it comes to performance the 370Z acts like a true sport coupe should. The responsive steering and powerful brakes make the car a great choice when buying an entry level “speedster”. The car has almost no body lean and the wide, low profile Bridgestone Potenzas keep the car planted on the road offering great stability, especially at high speeds.

The exterior design of the 2010 Nissan 370z is cleaner and more muscular than its predecessor, the 350Z, with much smoother lines and a more aggressive stance. The roadster variation of the 370Z looks much less awkward with the top raised, and does a better job hiding the cloth roof during top-down driving.

In comparison with the 350Z, the interior of which was comprised of cheap plastics and minimal passenger comforts, the 370Z offers a major improvement with upgraded materials, a better layout of the central console, more cargo space, and easier to use electronics. The 370Z also has larger gauges, a race-style oval steering wheel, and it can be equipped with a navigation system with XM NavTraffic. The fully adjustable seats are covered in high quality leather and they offer great support for most passengers, although tall drivers may find entry and exit into the cockpit a little difficult. Up to 6.9 cubic feet of cargo can be stored under the rear hatch, making the Z-car perfect for two adults and their luggage.

The Nissan 370Z has not yet been tested by either the federal government or the insurance companies, but it features some nice standard safety equipment including Nissan’s Advanced Air Bag System with dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt and occupant-classification sensors, driver and passenger seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags, door-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags for occupants head protection, vehicle Dynamic Control, Traction Control System, active Head Restraints, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
