Aston Martin Vantage V8 2005 - Present
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage is a hand built sport car by the British carmaker Aston Martin Lagonda Limited, one of the most modern and agile cars in the Aston Martin vehicle lineup. It was first released in 2005 as a 2006 model year and was designed by Henrik Fisker.
The V8 Vantage is one of the most beautiful cars in the world having a very elegant style, well proportioned, modern and easy recognizable as an Aston Martin. It is available in two body styles, a hatchback coupe and a roadster with power cloth soft top, both can seat only two people. The hand built Aston Martin V8 is well finished having a perfect fit. Having a length of 172.5 inches, the V8 is the smallest in Aston Martin range. The car is fitted with 19 inch alloy wheels 20 spoke, a bright finished grille and strangely, xenon headlights as an option.
The 4.8 liter V8 32 valve engine that we can find under the hood of an Aston Martin V8 generates 420 hp and 346 lb-ft of torque and it is fitted to a rear mounted six speed manual transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. Both the coupe and convertible manage to get from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds reaching a maximum speed of 180 mph. The EPA estimated fuel economy for the Aston Martin V8 Vantage at 12 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. The car is very nice and fun to drive due to the maximum torque delivered at 5750 rpm, and 77 % of that at only 1500 rpm.
On the interior of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage we can find the same level of elegance we got used to on the exterior. There is a blend of tradition and technology having an interesting experience when you need to start the engine, but firstly, you have to adjust your seat having 10 way electric adjustable sport seats. Other interior features include, full grain leather interior, alloy fascia trim and graphite centre console finish, sports seats with 10-way electric adjustment, dual stage driver and passenger front airbags, heated rear screen, automatic temperature control, organic electroluminescent (OEL) displays, trip computer, glass ECU, LED map reading lights, power-fold exterior mirrors, 160W Aston Martin audio system with six-CD auto changer, perforated leather seat inserts, Smokers’ pack, USB connectors with WAF, WMA and MPEG (MP3) audio file compatibility Satellite Radio system, and Hard Disk Drive (HDD) satellite navigation system.
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage was not tested by the government or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, but it is a usual thing for cars at this price range, although it has a lot of standard equipment that will keep you safe in case of crashes. Safety features include driver and front passenger airbags, seat mounted, driver and passenger, occupancy sensor, electronic stability control with traction control, seatbelt pre-tensioners, parking assist, panic alarm, low tire pressure warning.
There is also a V12 engine available together with the Aston Martin, called V12 Vantage, but it is not available for the North American Market, but the V8 is very good and satisfies the thirst of power for every driver.
