The Hummer H3 is an automobile produced by General Motors, under the Hummer brand. The H3 is the smallest Hummer model, and the first one to be built by General Motors. The H3 comes as a medium sized SUV or a medium sized SUT.

The Alpha trim of the H3 comes equipped with a huge 5.3-liter V8 Flex fuel engine, producing 300 hp at 5200 rpm and a maximum torque of 320 pound-feet at 4000 rpm, reaching 60 mph in approximately 8 seconds. It also comes fitted with an automatic four speed transmission.

The fuel economy of the Alpha H3 is 13 mpg in the city and 16 on the highway, netting an average of 14 mpg, according to EPA.

The H3 comes equipped with a four channel Anti Lock Braking System (ABS), which gives you excellent control while braking. The ABS also adapts to changing roads, giving you a smooth braking on any surface. The H3 Alpha also comes with Dynamic Rear Brake Proportioning which adjusts the pressure of the rear brakes, ensuring that the front and rear brakes are balanced while braking.

The H3 Alpha is outfitted with 16 x 7.5 in. thick spoke chrome wheels, and comes with the standard 32 in. P265/75R16 all-terrain blackwall tires with full size spare, the 33 in. LT285/75R16C all terrain blackwall tires are an optional feature.

Among H3 Alpha's awesome features we can notice the StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System, Traction Control System (TCS), an electrochromic rearview mirror with an eight-point compass, outside temperature display and Onstar controls and the rearview camera which comes as an optional feature.

As far as dimensions go, the Alpha H3 is 187.5 in. long, 85.0 in. wide, 73.2 in. tall, has a wheelbase of 111.9 in. and weighs 4883 lbs, thus being the smallest Hummer.

H3 Alpha's exterior is one of a pure Hummer. The H3 has the military look of a true Hummer, the signature seven-slot grill, rectangular windows, large tires and of course the 90-degree angle car design. The H3 also comes in the form of a pick-up as the H3 SUT.

The interior of the H3 Alpha is the best General Motors has made to this date. The materials used for its interior are of good quality. The H3 Alpha comes with leather-appointed plush bucket seats that can easily house five adults. The head restraints of the front row seats are decorated with the Alpha logo. The 2nd row seats have soft bolsters and are fitted with dual density foam, thus giving H3's interior a plus in comfort. Even more the back-row seats can be folded down, creating more cargo space.

The federal government gave the H3 a top five star score for driver safety, and four stars for passenger safety, on frontal crashes. Also the H3 got a five star rating for front and rear seats in side impacts. The H3 comes equipped with front and side airbags and safety features such as Traction Control, StabiliTrak and OnStar emergency services.

Other variations of the Alpha H3 include the base H3 trim and the H3X, which come with a smaller 3.7-liter five cylinder engine, which produces 239 horsepower and 241 pound-feet of torque and an automatic five speed transmission system, achieving a fuel economy of 14 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway.
