GMC Sierra 1500 2007 - Present
The GMC Sierra 1500 is a full-size pickup truck produced by General Motors and was released in 1998 as a 1999 model. The Sierra is the counter part of the Silverado produced by Chevrolet, another GM brand and they are essentially the same only that the Sierra is a more luxurious light pickup truck than the Silverado.
Even though people don't buy the trucks for their design and styling but for their utility, we can say the 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 has a very handsome style together with the muscular and powerful design. The car is available in three different exterior configurations differenced by the size of the cargo bed: short box, standard box and long box. The cab is also available in three different sizes, the regular cab, the extended cab and the crew cab, but they can not be configured with any cargo bed, so the regular cab can fit with standard or long box cargo beds, the extended cap can be fitted with all the three cargo beds while the crew cab is only available with the short box cargo bed. Optional on the Sierra 1500 we can find the cargo management system that can be used along with a few accessories such as sliding metal dividers, a commercial overhead rack, a sliding metal tool box, or sliding metal side storage boxes.
Under the muscular designed hood of the 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 we can find a large variety of engines. The most powerful one is the 6.2 liter V8 engine with active fuel management that produces 403 hp and 417 lb-ft of torque available only on the crew cab. The second best is the 6.0 liter V8 engine that produced 367 hp and 375 lb-ft of torque and it is available on either the extended cab or the crew cab. Then we will find two different 5.3 liter V8 engines, both producing 315 hp and 338 lb-ft of torque available in all the cab models. A 4.8 liter V8 engine is also available on the on all the cab models and generates 295 hp and 305 lb-ft of torque, and the last engine, a 4.3 liter V6 engine available in regular cab and extended cab models and produces 195 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The acceleration is good for all the engines available so you won't find any trouble when trying to accelerate.
On the interior of the GMC Sierra 1500 of either the three different cab models we will find plenty of space, comfortable seats and a very luxurious cabin with high quality materials. Two interior cabin configurations are also available, one that is pure pickup anything but not luxurious and the other is similar to the GMC Yukon SUV luxury interior. Six different packages with different features can also be an option of this fully customizable truck. The interior features include dual-zone air conditioning, driver information center, interior lighting, two dash-mounted, 12-volt auxiliary power outlets, adjustable-tilt steering column, AM/FM stereo with standard XM satellite radio on the Pure-Truck interior while the luxurious interior includes cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate controls, and a Bose speaker system.
The 2010 GMC acts very well when crash tested by the federal government receiving five stars for protecting the driver and front passengers in front and rear crash tests. GMC offers plenty of safety features such as frontal, driver and right-front passenger with Passenger Sensing System, Daytime running lamp, the OnStar emergency system, StabiliTrak and many others keeping you safe.
